AI Policy
Effective date: August 17, 2026
This policy explains how Humanizerly uses artificial intelligence, what that means for the text you submit, and what we expect from you when you use an AI-powered tool. It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; where those documents go into more detail, we link to them below.
1. How we use AI
Humanizerly's humanizer, paraphraser, and AI detector all work by sending the text you submit to third-party AI models (currently provided by OpenAI) for processing. The model rewrites or analyzes your input and returns a result, which we display back to you. We do not train our own AI models on your input or output.
2. Data sent to AI providers
Only the text you submit for a given request — plus the tone and style settings you choose — is sent to our AI provider for processing. Under our provider's API terms, content submitted through the API is not used to train their models. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of subprocessors and what each one handles.
3. Accuracy and limitations
AI output is probabilistic, not deterministic. Humanized text may still contain factual errors, awkward phrasing, or unintended changes in meaning — always review output before you use it. We do not guarantee that any specific third-party AI-detection tool will classify output as human-written, now or after that tool changes its own methods; detector outcomes are outside our control.
4. Your responsibilities
You're responsible for how you use AI-assisted output, including:
- complying with any academic-integrity policy, employer policy, publication guideline, or professional code that applies to you — Humanizerly does not make that determination for you;
- disclosing the use of AI tools where a rule, contract, or law requires you to;
- reviewing and fact-checking output before relying on it or publishing it, especially for factual, legal, medical, or financial content;
- not submitting content you have no right to process, or using the Service to produce unlawful, infringing, or deceptive material.
5. Content ownership
You retain ownership of the text you submit and the output you receive. We don't claim rights to either, and we don't use your content to train AI models, publish it, or showcase it without your permission. See the Terms of Service for the full terms governing content and accounts.
6. Changes to this policy
AI providers and models change over time. We'll post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
