Privacy Policy

Humanizerly (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Softaar Technologies UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a company registered in Dresden, Germany. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use humanizerly.ai, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. 1. What we collect

• Account details: email address, display name, and authentication identifiers (managed by Google Firebase Authentication). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
• Content you submit: the text you humanize and the humanized output. Anonymous submissions are processed and returned without being stored in a database linked to you; signed-in submissions are saved to your private, deletable history.
• Usage and device data: characters processed per day, plan, product events (for example: a humanization completed, a pricing page viewed), and basic technical data such as browser type needed to run the service securely.
• Payment records: your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan, and billing period. We never see or store your card number.
• Email marketing data: when you create an account, your email address and name are added to our contact list in Brevo so we can send onboarding and product emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in each email.

2. Why we use it

• Performance of a contract: operating your account, processing your text, maintaining your history, and managing your subscription.
• Legitimate interest: securing the service, preventing abuse, measuring how the product is used, and improving it.
• Consent: marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
• Legal obligations: keeping records we must retain for tax and accounting law.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run Humanizerly:

• OpenAI (AI processing): the text you submit is processed by OpenAI's API to generate the humanized version. Under OpenAI's API terms, content submitted via the API is not used to train their models.
• Stripe (payments): processes all payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
• Google Firebase (authentication and database): stores your account data and history, protected by per-user security rules.
• Google Analytics (product analytics): measures site usage — pages visited and events like a humanization completed — only after you accept the Statistics cookie category. It never receives the content of your text. See Google's privacy policy.
• Brevo (email marketing and automation): stores your email address and name to deliver onboarding and product emails. See Brevo's privacy policy.

4. How long we keep it

• History items persist until you delete them or your account.
• Account data is kept for as long as your account exists.
• Usage counters are kept for billing and abuse prevention.
• Invoices and payment records are retained as long as tax and accounting law requires.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA (and in many other jurisdictions, including California under the CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email support@humanizerly.ai from the address on your account — we respond within 30 days.

6. Security

Data is transmitted over TLS. Database access is restricted by per-user security rules so each account can only read and write its own data. Server credentials and AI provider keys are never exposed to the browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for least privilege and defense in depth.

7. International transfers

We are based in Germany. Some of our service providers (OpenAI, Stripe, Google, Brevo) process data in the United States or other countries outside the EEA. Where that happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies — including a signed usage cookie for the anonymous free tier and Firebase authentication storage. See our cookie policy for the full list and your choices.

9. Children

The service is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email.
